October is for Scariness!

This is done with pan and ink, some red ink for the blood.  I found some blank Hallmark cards that say "Yooo Hooo" (with a small Owl) on the front.  Open them up and a nice large drawing surface.  I thought this would be good for an October drawing.

A Bluer, Happy You!

I used a blue colored pencil to see what kind of look a sketch would have.  I picked a happier photo, cause franklly, my lastest sketches have been mean or sad-looking faces.  Anyway, I thought it was a pretty decent 20 min sketch.

My Buddy Ken

 

  

A couple of different shot of my sketch of my Buddy Ken.  This photo was just begging to be drawn.  Anyway, a pencil, sketchbook and about 20 minutes later...He said he liked it, I hope so.  LOL

Hulkin' out Self Portrait

 

Another 20-minute sketch.  Me all angry and stuff.  I don't think the left eye is right...and the face seems a bit thin.  I will have to work on that.

New Luke Skywalker Lineart

Here is a sketch and the line art from the sketch. I think I might try inking this with the computer before I start with markers. I have to say, I love the sketch so much more that the line art, but I think that is because the sketch has some shading and the line art has nothing but...possibility. I am stretching...growing...I hope... LOL

More Star Wars Universe!

A couple of more sketches of the Dymanic Duo of the Star Wars U. Han Solo, inked. and Luke Skywalker from Return of the Jedi. Not comfortable with the inks yet, I am still in a "feeling out" period. But I was pretty pleased with the first effort on the Han Solo sketch.

Pencil sketch of Han Solo. I like it for the most part, but the eyes seem a bit...big and the it just makes him look unnatural and zombie-like...I like the way the hair turned out though... :)

Obi-Wan Sketches

Here are a couple of sketches of Alex Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi. The shape of the skulls are quite right, but I am working on it. I am just trying to get pen/pencil to paper these days and working on getting recognizable figures.

We rolled into Weed, Ca on our way to the Tri-Cities in Washington state and we stayed the night, Weed is a cool little town, and by little and mean little. But it has one of the best Burger cafe's I have ever eaten at and for the life of me, I can't remember the name...damn. Anyway, the sun was going down adn I took a few minutes to do a sketch of Mt. Shasta.

Black Vulcan Sketch

I have never seen Black Vulcan, I have never drawn Black Vulcan...Heck as far as I can tell he was only on a couple of episodes of SuperFriends back in the day... Anyway, a friend wanted a sketch, so I did the best I could.... I think he liked it. :)

This is a commission that I did this afternoon. It is for a little boy's birthday and his favorite Star Wars character is Darth Maul. I hope he likes it.

another sketch - Juggernaut

Juggernaut sketch. The bristol paper I use doesn't fit perfectly on my scanner, and I end up with these ugly blue areas on the scan. Other than that, I really enjoyed this sketch. I can't wait to ink it up.
